Very well done

Godo song, good rhythm of animation, nice mix of different styles that blend well together, an excelent piece of work that alot of work has clearly gone into. Feel good about yourselves, this is the kind of thing that Newgrounds is all about, a potential classic.

Nice movie/interactive thing

Well done, well animated, well thought up, and rather funny to boot, but you did yourself no favours with the dream-intro thing, it went on too long, and I almost closed the window and gave you a 0 because I thought that it was just some shitty loop of pirates on a banana, rest assured you would get a much higher score if you took that out/ replaced it/ shortened it. Otherwise the movie was good, and provided it survives I shall reccomend to others. Well done.

I thought the mention of the dream in the description was self-explanatory.

Not bad, what was the music used? I know I know it, but I can't remember the title, and its bugging me

.... Seriosuly, why do you (the clock crew) persist in junking up Newgrounds with youre appauling animations, you know there bad, we know there bad but they still find a way on here and stay. I would offer you advice on how to make it better, but you wouldn't listen so I'm not going to bother. Please stop making flash animations.

Starmanclock responds:

You don't even make flash!

Sterling effort

That was a decent flash, it wasn't really my humor, and there were a few technical issues, but only one major one, but its nice to see a flash with a decent narritive on newgrounds. Firstly, the technical problem, the first half of the animation had dire sound quality, and then about half way through (after the training sequence) the sound just stopped completely. Secondly, my advise, I know you made this in the South Park style, but you sould really try to develop your own, it was a bit too South Park really, but I suppose its good to plauy safe sometimes, and secondly I think that some of the sequences could have been better, for example the training sequence (which I must say I liked) should have had a more cleche soundtrack, Eye of the Tiger or something, I like Daft Punk, but when doing a satire its best to stick to the oldies. I also think that barring the end joke, all of your jokes were mis timed or too predictable. Though don't get me wrong I liked it alot, and I think that you could make some very good flash in the future... Provided you get your own style and work that little bit harder on the script. Keep it up!

well lets hope there are no glitches in the next one and lets hope you like it more

Trails off

I've watched and reviewed the previous two in the series, and this one was definately more accomplished, aided by the fact that you have put more work into the backgrounds (at the start of the movie at least) but that soon trailed off, and I thought that the mushroom people really didn't fit with the style, I felt that it would be much better if they were evil looking goblin type things, rather than slightly cutsie funghi, although admitedly mushrooms are easier to draw... I also felt that the interior backgrounds looked slightly rushed as opposed to the beautifully atmospheric outdoor shots, and finally I thought that the main character (as he does in the other episodes in the series) looks rather stiff, thats because of the program you used to draw him, I dont really know how you can get round that, short of drawing him frame by frame by hand, and I don't blame you for not wanting to do that, but it would be nice if you try to loosen him up a bit. Overall though it was a very solid flash that builds on the previos ones, and surpasses them, and I'm only really concentrating on the negatives in this movie, which arn't massive, but it would make such a massive difference if they wern't there. I'll be looking out for episode 4. Keep up the good work

SirGaryColeman responds:

Thanks for the review, I'll keep all of that in mind.

It wasn't bad

I really liked the style, the drawing and backgrounds looked good, but I think I can offer you two tips. Firstly, don't call your film "the ultimate short" it will just make you seem arrogant, and thus people will start watching the film wanting to prove that this is not the greatest short, and you will end up getting a lower mark for it, and secondly the web is full of animations with people fighting for no reason, don't get me wrong, yours looks nice, but I've seen too many to remember yours. Try doing something new, something that isn't just two people having a fight, personally I would prefer you to make a short that is 90% plot driven, but if you really want to make a fight scene, give ti some story, and not the usual... you stepped on ym foot, so we shall fight to the death crap, have a proper plot. Do that and I'm sure you can go a long way. I wish you luck with your future ventures.

Thanks for the advice ;)
